Just got home from a smashing Labor Day weekend with friends down the shore in Avalon, New Jersey. Luckily we were not subdued to any kind of crowded cluster like these folks in the photo of the week...

A human-made "sea" provides escape from the summer heat—if not from the crowds—in China's Sichuan Province on August 14.
Known as China's Dead Sea, the saltwater swimming pool is part of an indoor water park that can accommodate up to 10,000. Park officials say that more than a million people have visited the pool so far this summer, according to the Daily Mail.Taken from National Geographic's Best of August - Provided by AP. Pictures We Love: Best of August
