Dogfish Head Raison D'etre
Very strong taste upon first sip. Has a bit of a Belgian feel to it, but not exactly as clear as a Chimay or an Ommegang. Has a little bit of a stale scent to it. Doesn't go down as easy as I would like. Almost seems a bit bitter. All in all, not my favorite Dogfish Head beer.
Manayunk Brewing Company Krook's Mill American Pale Ale
A very pleasant floral bouquet carries over into a tremendous hoppy flavor. Incredibly crisp, clear, and easy-drinking. Wonderful golden color. Much more than I was expecting. Enough to make me want to visit Manayunk, which is saying a lot.
The winner: Clearly, Krook's Mill American Pale Ale.
