Booze...in 50 Words or Less: Cricket Hill Brewing Company American Ale
Cricket Hill American Ale
In color, it is almost a brown ale. Not a very appealing scent. Malts are the element that jumps out most. Hops are there, but not a very good balance. There's not much in the way of supporting flavors here. It's a straightforward beer and not an exceptional one.

Booze...in 50 Words or Less: Flying Fish Red Fish

Look at this! Here's a beer so new we seem to be reviewing it before Beer Advocate (maybe I just couldn't find their review?). Anywho, I was recently nonplussed by the pedestrian nature of Flying Fish's variety pack, but this was enjoyable. Dark and hoppy, yet smooth and easily digestible.

King of the Case: Flying Fish Brewing Company

Wherein I will buy a variety case and decide what the best beer in it is.
Flying Fish Brewing Company
Extra Pale Ale
This is pretty significantly hopped for a pale. Nice vibrant scent and punchy floral taste. Very crisp, extremely refreshing, and perfectly colored. There's a bit of an aftertaste, but not really a bad one. More of a by-product of the extra application of hops.
ESB Amber AleNot a lot of flavor jumping out here. The recipe is based mostly on malt, yet the flavor is a little weak. It isn't horrible, but it is certainly a little too simplistic. Not much to enjoy.

Booze...in 50 Words or Less: Flying Fish Belgian Style Dubbel

After three of these wonders straight from the bottle, poured one into glass. Noticed all sorts of specks floating in the beer. From the biting yet punchy Belgian spice it exudes, I have to assume it is just unfiltered for extra effectiveness. But at first, thought we needed new dishwasher.

Booze...in 50 Words or Less: River Horse Brewing Company Hop-a-lot-amus

Something about this double IPA from the Lambertville, New Jersey, brewing establishment keeps it from entering the upper tier of hop-filled beers. There's tons of hops, but the mixture doesn't result in a distinctive pop. It's a little murky and static. Needs a flavor to offset the ample hops.
