Other night, a friend was drinking Guinness, saying he was "getting ready for St. Patrick's Day." While I don't go crazy for St. Patty's, I figured I'd attempt to get into the spirit by drinking this ale from the makers of Guinness. Offers fairly lively malt flavor, but that's it.

For a beer I bought simply to make sure the wife had something to drink (she sure likes Belgians), I sure was impressed by this. What a combination of interesting flavors! Not only does it have that classic Belgian feel, it also features the smoky bitterness of a stellar brown.

After experiencing rare Lagunitas misstep Hop Stoopid, decided not to turn my back on the brewery, but to get back on the horse. Loyalty, meet reward. This gem looks beautiful, features a crisp, uber-hoppy bite, and a kick that reminds one of citrus. A delectable treat for the tastebuds.
