Booze...in 50 Words or Less: Lavery Liopard Oir Farmhouse Ale

Lavery Liopard Oir Farmhouse Ale
When I go to Wegman's, I'm allowed two sixers and a 22-ouncer due to their Draconian regulations (I'm sure the rules are created by some idiotic entity). This week, chose this Erie, Pa. beer for big bottle. Was really rooting for it. But there were no elements of note.

Booze...in 50 Words or Less: Russian River Blind Pig IPA

Russian River Blind Pig IPA
An interesting brewery. They've got this Pliny the Elder, which I think you need to own a license or something to be able to sell. I've seen 12-ouncers of their Damnation selling for, like, $10 at Wegman's. This meets the hype. Crisp, yet a heavy hitter. Smells of raspberry.

Booze...in 50 Words or Less: Troegs Pale Ale

Troegs Pale Ale
Sometimes, when I'm shopping for beer, I see Troegs and shy away. Why? Dunno. OK, I do. Don't love their labels. Maybe it's the weathered look? The fonts? The busy designs? Maybe this isn't a visual masterpiece! But it has perfect amber color and hoppy flavor balanced by subtle malt.
