Have heard a lot about AleSmith Brewing Company recently. Based in San Diego, you would figure they would be able to produce a fine IPA. Only problem? Accidentally picked up the ESB instead of the IPA. No worries. IPA hoppiness. Significant piney notes. Complex maltiness, while retaining smooth finish.

Green Flash Brewing Company Trippel Ale
Was starting to wonder if the San Diego-based brewer made anything other than their West Coast IPA, which I've enjoyed on several occasions. When I saw this 22-ouncer, I passed up Stone's Cali-Belgique to give it a try. It's pretty respectable. Hope I made right decision.
